Information we process to run PromptCell.

PromptCell is designed to keep provider keys on the server side while processing the spreadsheet inputs, account details, and billing metadata needed to deliver the service.

Information we process

Account data

PromptCell stores the account information needed to authenticate users, remember saved access, and associate usage or billing state with the correct workspace.

Spreadsheet inputs

PromptCell processes the values you explicitly pass into formulas or the sidebar workflow. It does not autonomously browse your workbook outside the ranges supplied in the request.

Billing records

Paid plans store Stripe customer, subscription, and price identifiers so PromptCell can keep access and billing state in sync.

Support communications

If you contact support, PromptCell processes the information you send so the team can troubleshoot, respond, and improve the service.

How PromptCell uses this information

  1. Authenticate users and let new sheets reuse the same saved PromptCell account.
  2. Process AI requests using the spreadsheet values, prompts, and provider selected for the request.
  3. Track usage units, plan entitlements, and billing status.
  4. Respond to support issues, product feedback, and bug reports.

AI providers, retention, and security

AI providers

PromptCell currently integrates with Gemini and Claude. Requests are routed through the backend rather than exposing provider keys inside Sheets.

Retention

PromptCell stores the operational records needed for authentication, billing, support, and service reliability. Cached generation results may also be stored for performance and repeat lookups.

Security

PromptCell uses server-side storage and account controls to reduce the need for provider secrets to live inside end-user spreadsheets.
